Pressure forming is much the same as drape forming with the addition of air pressure being applied to pick up fine details of the mold surface instead of relying solely on the vacuum pressure. This method is used when the appearance of injection molded parts is desired on one surface but the production requirements can not justify the tooling expenditures necessary for injection molding.
